On a entamé hier après-midi, la dernière moitié du championnat du monde de classe M. Plus que, ou encore, 2 jours de compétition avant de connaitre le nouveau champion du monde. Les uns sont tranquilles, les autres nerveux, certains sont parfois déçus, mais tous gardent le sourire en se retrouvant sur le plan d’eau. Ce matin, ça navigue sur la berge ouest, en reprenant par la 13C. La force du vent oscille, et on retrouve dans les mêmes flottes du jeu A et B, au risque d’enfourner au vent arrière, ou de se trainer au près… C’est en fait le cas toute la journée, où tout le monde s’observe et se questionne avant de mettre le bateau à l’eau. les changements de dernières minutes s’enchainent. Après manger, le parcours est remouillé avec un départ devant le club, avec un vent qui a bien tourné. A 17h20, le coup sifflet nous annonce la fin des joutes pour la journée après la magistrale 16A. Les troupes sont bien fatiguées, les contacts sont nombreux, la tension est un peu trop forte. La sagesse nous renvoie à la maison pour notre dernière soirée en collocation. Un bon dodo s’impose avant d’attaquer la dernière journée… 😀
[Yesterday afternoon, we began the last half of the M class world championship. More than, or even, 2 days of competition before we find out the new world champion. Some are calm, others nervous, some are sometimes disappointed, but everyone keeps smiling as they find themselves on the water. This morning, we sail on the west bank, returning to the 13C. The wind strength fluctuates, and we find ourselves in the same fleets of the A and B game, at the risk of plunging downwind, or dragging ourselves close-hauled… This is actually the case all day, where everyone observes and questions each other before launching the boat. Last-minute changes follow one another. After lunch, the course is re-wet with a start in front of the club, with a wind that has shifted considerably. At 5:20 p.m., the whistle blows to announce the end of the day’s competition after the masterful 16A. The troops are very tired, there are many contacts, and the tension is a little too high. Wisely, we send ourselves home for our last evening in shared accommodation. A good night’s sleep is in order before tackling the last day… :D]
