Encore une belle journée que ce lundi. Du soleil, encore, et un vent idéalement orienté NE voire NNE, avec un parcours et une zone de contrôle devant le club, en gréements A. Le plan d’eau est juste parfait. Avec des berges totalement dégagées, il reste navigable dans toutes les directions de vent. [Another beautiful day this Monday. Connais tu Thomas Blätter, SUI60 avec son Trance? Non, il ne fait pas partie des outsiders. Mais il fait partie de ceux qui sont là, pour le plaisir d’y être, avec passion. Participer à un championnat du Monde, même en bas du tableau, n’a rien de décevant ou frustrant pour lui. Bien au contraire, en tant que membre du conseil d’administration de l’IMCA et l’ITCA, c’est la satisfaction de rencontrer les différents concurrents, d’être là au plus près d’eux. Dans un profond respect des autres bateaux, et avec un manque d’entrainement assumé, il ne vise pas le podium, mais prend comme un honneur de participer à un championnat du Monde, en pensant déjà au prochain. Oui, Thomy avec ses bientôt 60 ans de navigation en voile grandeur et voile radiocommandée, et ne compte pas en rester là, que ce soit en tant que régatier, ou dans ses fonctions d’arbitre ou d’organisateur de régate. Fondateur de la désormais célèbre régate de Saint-Moritz, il peut vraiment être fier de lui sous toutes ses casquettes. Bravo Thomy ! [Do you know Thomas Blätter, SUI60 with his Trance? Déjà 6 courses de validées, la 6A se termine. Il est l’heure d’aller manger… avec un grand sourire pour cette dernière photo. Non pas que je me moque d’un point d’amure qui vole la vedette aux éclaboussures, mais je me réjouis une fois encore d’avoir la photo du bateau de Rémi FRA142 en course avec un moucheron, ce qui devient coutumier, voir un défi pour Momi. Moustache, moucheron, le pas n’est pas celui d’une grande girafe, ce serait plutôt le battement d’aile d’un petit insecte !
La journée se termine ainsi, sous le soleil, exactement ! Christophe Boisnault abandonne suite à deux incidents avec son nouveau mât pendulaire, n’ayant pas l’accès dans le temps imparti pour intervenir sur l’écoute de palan qui a cédée. Pour autant, il est content de l’efficacité de cette innovation, et ne compte pas en rester là, c’est une affaire à suivre de près. En attendant, la « croisière s’amuse a bien mérité un petit repos ! 😀
La journée se termine donc avec Graham Bantock GBR95 (26pts) qui se hisse sur la première marche temporaire devant Ante Kovacevic CRO10 (29pts) à seulement 3 pts, alors qu’il pointait hier soir à la 11ième place à 21pts du premier, suivi de Florent Guillaume FRA73 (31pts) qui a eu une fin de journée compliquée (13 sur la course 8 et 19 sur la course 9).
